Michigan - The NO-Steer State
Sorry - Make that The NO-Queer State
According to a recent Gallup-USA Today poll, 54 percent of Americans now consider homosexuality acceptable, the highest percentage that survey ever recorded. And each succeeding generation is proving more tolerant than the last: While only 36 percent of people older than 80 think it's acceptable, 62 percent of 18-to-29-year-olds do.
However, in 2004
Michigan passed a law against gay marriage which prohibits state-run institutions from extending spousal benefits to gay couples.
This is creating some
hardship on a lot of people - not what the law was intended to do, simply ban further marriages and leave the already-married alone.
Great work guys! You've eliminated prayer in school; you've almost got all the homosexuals moving to Canada or California; you've successfully had the word Christmas removed from 99% of the Christmas cards sold - what's next?
Hmmmmm - given any thought to attacking Baptists? You know as well as me that they make the areas around their churches way too noisy on Sundays with all that singin'.
