My assistant webmaster, Duncan, often lays on his bed beside my computer and licks his dick - I think no less of him and, in fact, admire this ability he has.

I learned something watching the 11 o'clock news last night. It turns out that Ontario's Health Minister and Deputy Premier, George Smitherman, is gay. He has announced his coming marriage to his long-time lover Christopher Peloso, a manager of Lindt Chocolates.
Blog MyyyyyAsssss wonders if Georgie was won over by a box of chocolates or a drink at a gay bar. Doesn't really matter as that's their business and not mine.
Looking into Georgie's past, he has had some drug problems and admits to having seen a psychiatrist over his substance abuse. Fitting that he be our Health Minister, but thank God he's not our Education Minister according to Linda Harvey.
Linda Harvey is founder of Mission America, a group which monitors and reports on the promotion of homosexuality to youth. Her article 'Sexual fascism and the Mark Foley scandal' which appeared on WorldNetDaily said:

Open or suspected homosexuals should never be elected. The problem with homosexuals is that they frequently don't have common sense and don't acknowledge appropriate boundaries. Weird sex, public displays of "affection" and nudity, and sex with youth are built into the "gay" sub-culture. Witness any pride parade, stroll around any predominantly "gay" neighborhood, or visit "GLBT" websites and you quickly see the problem.

Linda Harvey is no slouch in her attack on gays. She writes:

Are homosexual teachers more likely to seduce or sexually assault students than heterosexual teachers? Tradition over the centuries has contended that youth are always at risk when those who practice homosexuality are allowed close interaction with them. That belief is based on a reality that is still all too apparent.
Homosexual activist claim otherwise. When addressing schools and parents, they maintain that homosexuals are less likely to molest children than heterosexuals. Some recent events, however, indicate that their assertions are simply not true.

Would our Georgie promote homosexuality? In 2005 he was the keynote speaker at the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association's annual conference in Montreal. He told delegates, mainly from the United States, that they should consider moving to Canada.

George Smitherman touted the province to delegates at the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association's annual conference in Montreal. Most of those attending the convention were American, and in a keynote address the openly gay cabinet minister said that doctors dissatisfied with life in the US should think about a move - especially if they want to marry. "Many of you work in States where progress of this type is measured in baby steps at best, and sometimes not at all," Smitherman said. "And some of you live and work in States where the fight is actually not to lose ground. And yet you keep at it, day in, day out, and for that you have my gratitude, my respect, and my undying admiration." " ...thousands of gay couples have been married in Canada, happily and proudly joining the millions of other couples in this country and around the world who have come together in love and ask nothing more than society’s blessing of that union," Smitherman said. "In Canada we do bless that union, regardless of the sexual orientation of the people involved, and that is something that gives me a tremendous amount of pride in my country. "The only barrier that exists to my getting married lies in my convincing someone to marry me, and I suppose it would be unreasonable of me to look for my government’s help on that one." The Ontario Medical Association recently said that the province is short some 2,000 qualified doctors. While doctors' salaries are controlled by the province, Smitherman said that medical practice costs are considerably lower than in the US making incomes of Canadian doctors similar to those of Americans. "We're open for business," declared Smitherman. "In Canada our values as a nation help define our values in health care," he told the convention. "Our laws have equality as an absolute foundational value, and thus our publicly-driven health care system respects and reflects that same value. "Our system of Medicare is built around the notion - and many of us in this country regard it as more of a tenet than a simple notion - that everybody is entitled to first class health care. Everybody." Following the speech a number of doctors and nurses approached Smitherman to enquire about immigration law and practice requirements.

Dunno, it seems to me that Georgie is promoting homosexuality and maybe Linda Harvey is right that gays and lesbians should never be elected to government - whatdoyathink?
