What do you suppose might happen if the prime minister of Israel (or the defense minister, or foreign minister, or, virtually any member of the government) announced that "the Arab regime of ---- will soon be wiped out"? Assuming that the person making the announcement wasn't whisked off straightaway to a mental asylum, there would be a storm of hysterical reaction from every civilized nation in the world.
But it is apparently just another day for the president of Iran, who is presiding over a Holocaust denial conference. From the Reuters story that is headlined "Iran president says Israel's days are numbered".
The author, Jack Rich, describes his blog as: "Lilpoh is short for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The basics. Which have been under attack for some time by those who favor tyranny over freedom. And I don't just mean foreigners; we have quite a few Americans who simply don't grok freedom."
