Toronto - Everybody Claims It's Safe There
I grew up in Toronto and I can tell you it was fairly safe way back then. I used to take my dog for walks at 1 a.m. without any trouble at all. You could go to any nightclub and enjoy yourself.

When the page loads move the Google Control to the second hash mark to zoom in then click on the various homicide cases listed on the right. You'll get a good view of the homicide scene and possibly see some landmarks you recognize if you've been to Toronto.
