Microsoft Under Attack Again Still
Executive E-Mail is a web page put out by Microsoft where various Microsoft executives write columns. This one concerns itself with "Interoperability" - the ability of different software products being able to work together on your computer.
Having clicked on and read the above item from the desk of Bill Gates, you should now read what the CTO of Opera, Hakon Lie, had to say about Microsoft and Interoperability.
There is an ongoing theme in a lot of my posts. Web designers are caught in a hell of a mess trying to design web pages that work well in the various web browsers - and this is because Microsoft chooses not to follow W3C conventions.
Microsoft's Internet Explorer still enjoys the greater percent of browser use and designers must have their web pages show properly for that audience and because the W3C conventions are not followed you will see a lot of web pages with errors showing on the bottom status bar.

Come to think of it, this is why Internet Explorer probably has the Toolbar up at the top of the browser. You can turn off the status bar from there!
