Nothing got posted here today as I was busy doing real-life things, but late in the evening I sat back and tried to hold back the tears when Paul Martin gave his speech. The Conservatives won the election and Mr. Martin is going to withdraw from the Liberal leadership and go back to his shipping business.
Bad news for his employees - nobody has been lying and cheating them since Martin left.
It seems the Liberals got back in here! Pretty close race this time around, not the Liberal runaway that is so seldom the case here - I hope Mr. St. Denis takes the hint as to his popularity.
I've been trying to convince people I know that were going to vote Green to not do it. If you take all the Green votes and put them with the NDP votes the race would have been even closer. And if you take the other 512 votes away from the FPP and independent, Mr St. Denis would be out of a job.
The people have spoken.
