I Coulda Been A Contender
I grew up in a poor family. There was no way I could have gone to university. We were so poor Mom fed us day-old bread. I never checked the packaging, it could have been two day-old bread.
Older brother Mike had a talent fer learnin' - he went to university. Me, I got a job and stayed on to help out Mom and Dad.
Had I been able to go to university - I coulda been a contender.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. There just wasn't the money to swing it. And besides, I hated school. I think the Catholic Nuns back in Grade 4 musta done something to me that made me wanna rebel. About the only good subject I had was recess.
So why am I lamenting about spilled milk all these years later? It's that damn WizBang.
These damn university guys are behind all the advertising you and I have to put up with. If I ever get my hands on one of these guys responsible for all these tampon commercials, Ill .........
