Followup On Welfare Bum Omar Bakri
I am not a welfare bum you know. I was a good man living in London until this bloody Tony Blair got all up tight about a few dead bodies in the subway. Damn him and damn that George Bush. By the way, do you like how white my wife gets my shirts? She uses Tide and a little Muslim holy water then stands over the wash machine with one of my swords looking very scarey - the damn washing machine falls for it every time. Praise Allah, now don't bother me no more today. Go away you infidels. From: Globe & Mail
London: The British government said Friday it has barred radical Muslim cleric Omar Bakri from returning to the country from Lebanon, saying the presence of the Islamic preacher who had spent the past 20 years in Britain is no longer 'conducive to the public good.'
Mr. Bakri, 45, left Britain last weekend for Lebanon after coming under increasing pressure from the British government for his hard-line rhetoric after last month's transit bombings. Mr. Bakri, who has dual Syrian and Lebanese citizenship, had insisted at the time that he intended to return to north London, where his wife and children live.
The Home Office said Home Secretary Charles Clarke had written to Mr. Bakri to inform him that he would not be allowed back into Britain.
Mr. Bakri has no statutory right to appeal but does have three months to call for a judicial review, in which a judge would rule whether the order was reasonable, the Home Office said.
Mr. Bakri founded the now-disbanded radical Islamic group al-Muhajiroun, which came under scrutiny in Britain, particularly after some of its members praised the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.
Britain's moderate Muslim community welcomed the decision.
'Omar Bakri will not be missed,' said Inayat Bunglawala of the Muslim Council of Britain. 'With his very offensive media antics, he contributed toward the demonization of British Muslims. The only group who will miss him will be the tabloid media.'
A spokesman for Britain's Crown Prosecution Service said Thursday that prosecutors were looking at Mr. Bakri's recent remarks to assess whether he could be charged with solicitation of murder or incitement to withhold information known to be of use to police.

BEIRUT: Islamist cleric Omar Bakri, who faces the prospect of treason charges in Britain, was freed Friday by Lebanese authorities, shortly after Britain declared he would not be allowed onto its shores. Lebanon's prosecutor general, Judge Said Mirza, said he ordered Bakri's unconditional release, 24 hours after he was arrested in Beirut, as it appeared "that he has not committed any crime and there are no criminal records against him." Mirza added Bakri was "a free man."
It was not immediately clear where Bakri was headed after his release from the Surete General building in east Beirut.
A police statement said he was detained in order to "clarify his situation and take necessary measures."
Bakri flew to Lebanon on Saturday from Britain to be at his sick mother's bedside.
According to Lebanese local daily As-Safir, "well informed sources told As-Safir that British Prime Minister Tony Blair had discussed the circumstances of Bakri's arrival to Lebanon over a telephone call on Thursday with his Lebanese counterpart Fouad Siniora."
Shortly after, the sources added, Siniora was informed that Syria would like Lebanon to hand over Bakri, but this could not be confirmed with the Syrian authorities. Damascus added it had issued many outstanding arrest warrants against him.
Sources familiar with Bakri's case had said that he might be wanted by Syrian authorities for alleged links with the Muslim Brotherhood, banned by the Baath regime since 1980.
Bakri, 45, holds Syrian and Lebanese citizenship. He is known in Britain as Omar Bakri Mohammad and in the Middle East as Omar Bakri. His full name is Omar Bakri Fostok.
In his televised interview Bakri said he was being targeted for his political views and would not return to Britain, to avoid what he called "retroactive" charges, after new anti-terrorism measures to curb Islamic clerics were announced by Premier Tony Blair last week. He also denied any links to Al-Qaeda or any other group of terrorists.

There you have it - obviously this innocent man is being picked on by Tony Blair, and no doubt, George Bush is behind it all.
