Bush's Approval Rating Lowest Yet
As reported in Ace of Spades , President George Bush has reached a new low in approval of his handling of the Iraq situation. The American public, it seems, want a speedier exit of its troops.
It is a difficult situation for Bush as the threat of war with other nations is not beyond the realm of possibility.
This is not a Democrat / Republican thing, it goes beyond one's political views. There have just been too many American troops brought home in body bags. But having said that, one's political view does have an influence and President Bush can't seem to do anything that isn't immediately condemmed by the press corps.
Blog MyyyyyAsssss agrees with the many Commenters to Ace's piece that put a lot of the blame with the press. It seems that everything written by the press is slanted against the Bush administration and that negativety has a great influence on the general public.
The bottom line in this whole thing is that America is at war with terrorism. American lifes were lost when terrorists entered the States and attacked the free world. Let us not forget the images we saw on television and in newspapers of two planes ramming into the twin towers. The press would do themselves a favour if they went back to their archives and went through those pictures again.
