I never thought this idiot could act and now it's obvious he ain't much better as a governor.
He has succombed to the politically-correct side. The man has allowed a law to be passed that makes no sense at all. The only thing that it will accomplish is it will bring on the deaths and assaults of prisoners and possibly guards in California's prisons.
Smoking is now banned in California prisons!

My background in the Ontario jail system demonstrated to me that inmates have very little going for them when behind bars. Let's face it, few of these guys are interested in earning an education while incarcerated and fewer are interested in learning new lifestyles.
They are there against their will except for the small majority that have to be there because they cannot function in the real world.
The Ontario government banned smoking in provincial jails, but the Federal government has failed to do this so far as they know that 'the shit will hit the fan' in the pens when this comes to pass.
Somtime soon in Sunny California there will be a funeral for a prison guard - mark my words! The tombstone will read, "37 years of dedicated service to the penal system, but called to Heaven because Arnold caved in."
