Just Like In A POW Camp
The movie 'The Great Escape' (1963) introduced us to Tom, Dick, and Harry. They were tunnels the pow's dug to escape from the Nazis during WWII. Who can forget the part played by Charles Bronson of a soldier that suffered with a fear of confined spaces. I'll never forget his reaction to a small section of the tunnel collapsing over him.

The movie had a cast of many hollywood stars including Steve McQueen, seen opposite, who did his own stunt work in a scene where he was trying to outrun the Germans on a stolen motorcycle.

Well, it seems organized crime musta seen the movie too as they just uncovered a tunnel that ran between British Columbia and Washington used by druggies, illegal aliens, and possibly terrorists.

The smugglers spent more than a year building the 360-foot (110-meter) tunnel that ran from a Quonset hut-style storage building in the rural Aldergrove neighborhood of Langley, British Columbia, to the living room of a home in Lynden, Washington. Wizbang has the story for you.
