Rest In Peace Mom

I have a good friend down south where I lived before retiring to Manitoulin Island. Chatting with Jim last night on Messenger, I found out that his mother finally passed away from the cancer that had plagued her body for so long.

Having lost both my parents many years ago, I know the pain Jim is going through and I offered him my most sincere condolences last night in our chat. Those of you who still have a living parent, cherish them while you still can.

A fellow up here on the Island tells me he and his Dad have not been close for years. Those of you in similar circumstances, I can only suggest that you do something about it sooner rather than later.
