I would be remiss if I didn't mention the anniversary of D-Day. For Hitler, it was the beginning of the end of his war. I watched the movie The Longest Day Sunday evening to get my thoughts and feelings of the Allied soldiers in perspective and I came away from it with weepy eyes.

For you young people that know not of the previous two generation's sacrifices, I suggest you watch this one and Private Ryan (especially the first ten minutes). You will have a better understanding of the wrinkles and grey hair your grandfather wears so proudly.
