Just Wanted To Say

I'm working on a time constraint here so just two quick notes for today:

Hotmail
If you want to use Messenger for instant messaging so you can chat with your Uncle Jake there is a downside. You have to have a Hotmail account. When you have said account, you get more e-mail coming at you. When you have e-mail, you get spam.
When you get mail, you get alerted and you go see what has come into your Inbox. MSN has graciously allowed me tons of storage for free, but I don't know.
When I checked today, it was just my latest 6/49 numbers. Don't know why I bother, I'll never win that damn thing. Anyway, once you are there you can click Sign Off and it takes you to MSN's Sympatico page with some news items posted if you want to check them out.
Today's page (Jan 22) had an article about Spain's Catholic Church allowing the use of condoms to alleviate the spread of AIDS. This is big as the Vatican has not come around to thinking that way yet.
The only reason I bring this up - the page title (the very top of your browser window) says:

Catholic Church in Spain drops opposition to use of condoms
to prevent AIDS on Sympatico

I never knew!

Terrorism
A very quick check of my favourite blog also had an interesting article called The New Crusade, which is an excellent read about the Muslim World. Pretty unsettling stuff and stuff that you and I cannot afford not to pay attention to. I recommend you take time to read Francis Porretto's article and in the spring, join in with me in the building of a bomb shelter.

If George Bush has scared you with his attack on Iraq, wait till you see what he's gonna do next!
